Elmhurst Design use various photograph and graphics software to obtain stunning results. At present, Paint Shop Pro is our favoured tool.
Text Effects
Elmhurst Design can create many text effects such as cutouts and embossing.
Special Effects
Backgrounds / Logos
We can take your company logo or any picture and fade it into the
background for use in tables or on the webpage itself. We can also
design your logo for you.
Banners
Elmhurst Design can produce quality banners to advertise your site - both animated and flat images.
Graphic Sets
Elmhurst Design have produced numerous linkware graphic sets (images
and buttons).

Rollovers
Rollovers simply change the image when a mouse is moved over the image.

Image Maps
Image Maps are where an image is split into sections. By clicking or putting your mouse over different sections of the image, different actions can be performed - such as image swapping or using the
these different areas to point to different URLs/pages.
The following example appeared on the old Elmhurst Design 'blue' site. You will have to excuse the colour clash!
Run your mouse from the top of the image to the bottom and see the background change.
 
Animation

Small GIF animation can be done using Animation Shop (part
of Paint Shop Pro), however if the animation is more complex
than these shown, we prefer using Flash.

File Size and Preloading
Elmhurst Design can reduce the sizes of images without affecting the quality of the image. This enables faster download times. It is estimated that on average a user will wait around 8 seconds for a page to load
so to avoid users typing in your competitors URL, a fast download time is essential.
