Ultravox - Formed in 1974 with John Foxx on vocals, they didnt hit the headlines until Midge Ure joined where their electro pop was linked to the new romantic movement. Their biggest hit is the beautiful Vienna, only held off no1 by Joe Dolce. The most succesful line up was Midge Ure, Billy Currie, Warren McCann and Chris Cross. Their other big hits were Dancing with Tears in My Eyes, Reap the Wild Wind, All Stood Still, The Voice and Hymn. Midge Ure enjoyed some success as a solo artist and was a driving force with Bob Geldof in making Live Aid a reality.
