Manchester United are looking to rebuild after a poor Premier League campaign.
A complete overhaul of the squad is definitely on the cards but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already encountering transfer problems.
The Daily Star, has reported that Solskjaer is encountering problems luring players to United and Ajax goalkeeper Onana is the latest player to have turned them down.
According to the Daily Star, Ajax value the goalkeeper at around £40m, which United deem as too much.
Dutch centre-half Matthijs de Ligt is also on United’s radar but the Red Devils cannot offer champions league football and the Dutchman could well wait for a better offer.
Barcelona are reported to be interested in Frenkie De Jong. As they are good friends Ligt may bide his time to see if Barcelona come in for him to.
Ajaxs current director of football Edwin van der Sar weighed in over De Ligt’s future and said;
“I think these will be de Ligt’s final games with Ajax, but I hope he goes out on a high,”
