Europa Final: Arsenal and Chelsea Fail to Sell Tickets

“Sadly, many (fans) have already decided that the cost and logistical difficulty of reaching the designated venue, Baku, means that they cannot attend,”

The Europa League final is two weeks away and both Arsenal and Chelsea are failing to sell their allocation of tickets.

The Europa Cup Final held in Baku at the Olympic Stadium holds nearly 69,000.

6000 tickets have been allocated to Chelsea and Arsenal supporters which is very low.

The Evening Standard have stated, that Arsenal supporters have claimed around half of their tickets with Chelsea fans claiming less.

The Chelsea/Arsenal trust have both condemned the game being held in Baku.

It is very far away and isolated part of the world with few transport links.

UEFA though claim their ticketing policy is “responsible” though which puts them at loggerheads.

The joint trusts argued against the decision to play the game in Baku (sportbible.com) and the statement read;

“Sadly, many (fans) have already decided that the cost and logistical difficulty of reaching the designated venue, Baku, means that they cannot attend,”
