Harry Kane scored an absolute classic in Tottenham’s pre season friendly in Singapore.
Playing Juventus, the player instinctively knew Wojciech Szczesny was off his line as he chipped the ball from long range right over his head in the 93rd minute at the National Stadium.
The 25-year-old England captain hit the ball swiftly and cleanly after Lucas Moura had won the ball inside the centre circle. Without notice Kane picked up the ball and struck it spot on over the goal keepers head to the crowds absolute delight.
Kane’s goal put Spurs 3-2 up in the last few minutes of the International Champions Cup match which until then had looked set to go to penalties.
It was a marvellous goal and shows what a talented and world class player he really has turned out to be.
Speaking to ESPN after the win Kane said;
‘In parts of the game the ‘keeper quite was far off the line so I thought if I get the chance the chance to shoot I’ll shoot,’ Luckily I did and it went in!’
Kane looks fresh before the Premier League season gets underway and he looks very eager to get off to a flying start. Kane shows little sign of the injury that hampered him at the end of the season and with the player firing on all cylinders, Tottenham will be a definite title threat.
