United’s want away striker Romelu Lukaku is set to get his move away from Old Trafford as Inter have agreed a valuation with the club.
According to The MEN Lukaku is set to leave on deadline day with the club seeking to make even more money from the move.
Lukaku Deadline Move
Manchester United have negotiated a sell-on clause as part of Romelu Lukaku’s €80million (£73.7m) switch to Inter Milan which suggests that the club fear the player could hit form and move on again.
United, wanted £80 million for the player but his refusal to train with the club has forced their hand with the club now happy to allow him to leave.
Lukaku, destroyed his relationship with United manager Solskjaer by posting running statistics from a training session on Twitter last week.
Solskjaer, disciplined Lukaku and demoted him to training with the Under-23s upon the first-team’s return to training on Tuesday which effectively ended their relationship.
Lukaku headed to former club Anderlecht on a players day off on Monday and failed to return to Manchester. This move would seem to have sped up the transfer as he was fined for his absence at Carrington.
The Belgium International had only started in 15 out of 29 games while Solskjaer has been manager and it is speculated that Lukaku is to have resented the preferential treatment of certain teammates.
All summer there has been speculation over his move to Inter and as Antonio Conte is such an avid admirer he may find himself in good graces.
Conte attempted to bring Lukaku to Juventus in 2014 and Chelsea in 2017 so clearly rates the player.
Gary Neville, responding on twitter clearly states that the player was 100kg and very much over weight.
If unprofessionalism has kicked in then he did need to go. It was clearly noticeable how heavy he had become and if he wasn’t listening to advice at this level then he club are right to sell him
