Is it goodbye for Christian Eriksen?

Christian Eriksen- Spurs creative midfielder could be out the door this summer as a number of top European Teams look to sign the player this year.

£130 million for the player is the number being touted by some new outlets and as the player this season has indicated his desire to leave the club.

It was reported in footballlondon Tottenham Hotspur rejected huge offers from three clubs for Christian Eriksen last summer and with this in mind the player feels that he needs another challenge with Read Madrid looking likely.

Eriksen’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season and so it would seem that Tottenham need to sell this summer to realistically command any sort of fee for the attacking midfielder.

With both Manchester United and Real Madrid looking to invest in players any of those two destinations could interest the player but as yet their has been no official approaches.

Eriksen, arrived at Spurs from Ajax Amsterdam in August 2013, and has been an excellent player for Tottenham.

According to SBS Eriksen has stated;

I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new,”
“I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.

“I hope that something will be decided this summer. That is the plan. In football you never know when there could be a decision like that. It could be at any point”

Christian has been a good servant for Tottenham and maybe it is time for him to go with the supporters blessing. Eriksen has been a wonderful asset, but in an ever improving side the team needs to evolve and move on.
