Real Madrid are set to play hardball with long time servant Sergio Ramos.
According to the Spanish press the Real Madrid Captain went to see Florentino Perez about a free transfer but was quickly shot down by the Real President.
According to reports come out in Spain Perez said;
“He (Ramos) came to see me in my office and said that he might leave without a transfer fee,”
According to Spanish radio station Onda Cero Ramos was told that he could not leave.
Relations seem to have broken down quite quickly between the influential defender and the Club President.
It would seem that the club want to desperately hold on to their club captain but Ramos feels that he has been blamed for Madrid’s exit in the Champions League.
It has also been suggested in The Express that Ramos has been holding out for a pay increase for his service at the club.
Whatever happen, the club are known to be able to play hardball and they are willing to wait for a situation to present itself which will be mutually beneficial to them and the player.
