Utah Royals will host league tournament next month at Zions Bank, Rio Tinto stadiums : WomensSoccer

From reporter Alex Vejar:

As most sports leagues in the United States continue to evaluate how their seasons will return as COVID-19 restrictions slowly lift, the National Women’s Soccer League on Wednesday officially announced a tournament that will begin in Utah next month, making it the first league in the country that will return to play.

“With the efforts of our frontline workers, our state’s early adoption of preventative measures, and our facilities at Zions Bank Real Academy, Rio Tinto Stadium, and America First Credit Union Field, Utah is uniquely prepared to host the nine teams in the NWSL and put on a tremendous tournament,” Royals owner Dell Loy Hansen said in a statement. “With the full support of the Governor [Gary Herbert] and the medical experts in our community, we are thrilled to bring the tournament to Utah.”
